Last chance to book space at Love Business 2017

Posted on February 8th, 2017

Only a handful of exhibition spaces remain available for this year's Love Business expo, the biggest networking event of its kind in the region.

The Chamber, the headline sponsor, has three of the six zones at the event next Thursday (16 February) - Innovation, Technology & Sustainability, Manufacturing & Engineering and Transport & Logistics.

But as the big day approaches, there is still room for members and non-members to be part of Love Business 2017.

Scott Knowles, the Chamber's Chief Executive, said: “You can’t overestimate the value of events like Love Business for their networking potential and for keeping abreast of latest innovations and the Chamber is proud of its long association with Love Business, which has established itself as the region’s premier free business expo.”

This is the sixth year that the Chamber has been associated with Love Business and the third year that it has been the main sponsor.

It will use its presence at the event, at Donington Park, Castle Donington, to launch its 2017 Business Awards, the annual quest to find the crème de la crème of local commerce.

Only the Chamber’s awards offer winners a chance to compete in regional and national heats of the British Chambers of Commerce Awards.

Last year, East Midlands Chamber scooped the Excellence in International Trade Award from the British Chambers of Commerce.

Six Chamber members, each of them winners in the East Midlands Chamber Business Awards and regional winners of BCC Awards, were shortlisted for national accolades: Trent Academies Group for Education and Business Partnership, Hayles Leicester for Commitment to People, Cathelco for Export Business of the Year, Purpose Media for High Growth Business of the Year, Shakespeare Martineau for Excellence in Customer Service and Penny Hydraulics for Best Use of Technology.

Scott added: "Being at the heart of a major business networking, amid hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of delegates, seemed to be the perfect place to launch our Business Awards for 2017."

Steve Megson, Managing Director of Quiet Storm, one of the founders of Love Business, said: “Both the location, Donington Park, and the objectives of Love Business are a perfect fit for the Chamber.

“It's an exciting time for the region and with the continued support of key organisations we expect Love Business 2017 to be the best yet.”
