On moving day - the new office in Chesterfield
The Chesterfield office of East Midlands Chamber* has moved to modern, fit-for-purpose premises in the town.

Relocation to Commerce House, Millennium Way, on the Dunston Business Park, was completed over the weekend of February 25-26. Telephone numbers have not changed.

A modern, three-storey building, the new office will help future-proof Chamber services to members across Chesterfield, North Derbyshire and north Nottinghamshire.

Chamber patron Blueprint Interiors, of Langley Priory, Diseworth, Derbyshire, fitted out the new offices.

Rob Day, Managing Director at Blueprint Interiors, said: “We are a proud patron of East Midlands Chamber and were delighted to work on this project to create the modern, open and attractive workspace the Chamber needs.

“It’s important that the Chamber’s office is not only functional but also creates the right impression with members, customers, employees, politicians and policymakers, regional and local stakeholders and the wider business community.

“We pride ourselves on the way we transform space to help businesses work smarter and we wish the Chamber all the best as it embarks on the next exciting phase of its journey.”

Scott Knowles, the Chamber’s Chief Executive, said: “We are very happy with the result and with the service we got from Blueprint. Chesterfield was the oldest and most run-down of all our offices, now it is our most modern, with great flexibility, a good mix of meeting rooms that members can hire and areas where people can work away from their desks.”

On the ground floor, a modern kitchen and refectory has been let to Chamber member The Lovely Catering Company, of Chesterfield, which is providing a café service for the Chamber and surrounding firms.

Scott said: “There was a shortage of café facilities in the area so we offered the kitchen to one of our members, Neil Parkin at The Lovely Catering Company, and are delighted that he has put it to good use by providing a café not only for Chamber staff but also for our new neighbours.”

Neil said: “Our corporate catering service, Lovely Buffet, has grown rapidly over the past couple of years and we were looking for additional space and facilities. We have been a supplier to the Chamber and members for many years and have a great working relationship.

“I’m pleased we have the opportunity to provide a much-needed cafe on the Dunston Business Park for staff and public and to further expand our corporate catering business.”

Commerce House
The Chamber is looking for a tenant for the top floor of the new office. The suite comprises an open-plan office, two meeting rooms a private office/meeting room, together measuring 3,369sq ft (313sq m).

The building is finished to a high specification, carpeted throughout, with recessed LED lighting in suspended ceilings, double-glazing and gas-fired central heating. The let includes 15 parking spaces.

The premises will be available on a new lease for a term to be agreed and on a full repairing basis with an initial rental of £34,000 a year. All enquiries in the first instance to Wilkins Hammond Commercial, 01246 555511 or email jwwlishmodcmr@ikn-amn.o or visit www.wilkins-hammond.com.
