It has pledged £250 sponsorship and two tickets to its annual dinner later this month as a prize to encourage firms to take part in The Big Assembly, a bid to set a new Guinness World Record.

Schools, young people, parents, careers advisers and employers from across the nation are invited at 8.45am on 7 March 2017 to take part in a live video stream across the UK to anyone wanting to find out more about apprenticeships and post-16 career options.

The East and West Midlands Apprenticeship Ambassador Network, Workpays and GetMyFirstJob have created the event, with sponsorship from the Chamber, The National Apprenticeship Service, D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership, Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership.

Employers including the Chamber, Boots UK, Toyota, Highways England, Nottingham City Homes, The BBC, Derry Building Services, Derby Homes, Busy Bees, Young Professionals, EMH Group, Futures Housing Group, Nottingham City Council and Uniper have offered sponsorship and a selection of career-based prizes for young people which will be awarded during the presentation, including shadowing a CEO, being involved in a Boots product development and much more.

Aiming to get over 5,000 log-ins to set a new world record, it promises to be an exciting and memorable event.

Introduced by Robert Halfon, the Minister for Apprenticeships, and combining commissioned films by and with apprentices plus a live questions and answers session from expert advisers, the webinar will focus on career options including apprenticeships.
